On the afternoon of 13th December, Anqing Foreign Language School held the oral English teaching activity demonstrated by foreign language teachers Monica, Lisa, Vincent and Khim who respectively showcased a spoken English class aimed at different grades with English teachers from various grades in attendance.
First of all, Monica taught the English course in Grade 2. She proceeded from the reality of students, full of patience.
Second of all, Lisa instructed the study-abroad class in Grade 10. Her pure pronunciation and gorgeous smile made students quite relaxed. Thus, her classroom teaching turned out effective.
Third of all, Vincent’s teaching in the study-abroad class from Grade 11 was vivid and distinct.
Fourth of all, Khim ’s passion and sense of humor created a lively classroom atmosphere.
Afterwards, with the conclusion of the demonstration lessons, foreign teachers and local teachers carried through the teaching evaluation event. Moreover, teacher representatives Zhu Wen, Wang Yueling, Wang Jiayin as well as Yao Fengling conducted keynote speeches in which they used the characters ‘patience, humorous, organized and effective’ to describe foreign teachers’ public classes.
Last but not the least, Director Xu Zuitai with Anqing Foreign Language School’s International Department summarized this grand event and presented a great many suggestions and requirements to foreign teachers.
To sum up, the implementation of this spoken English teaching by foreign teachers enabled local teachers to communicate with foreigners face to face, which not only improved their oral English skills, but also stimulated the teaching enthusiasm of both the foreign teachers and the native teachers.
